What We Gained
This is one of the most special areas of this journey. The Empty Grave! Here you will never find a body of Jesus Christ for He is not dead. He is alive! He is alive and He is living in all of us. Think about the magnitude of this! He took all your sin on the cross and died with all the punishment that was owed to you! But in three days He rose from the grave paying for all the sin that the world would ever do! And when He left that grave, He left it empty. He now walks fully alive because of the Holy Spirit at work in Him. The Father set this in motion from the beginning of time to establish a way for all people to be saved. Not just a few and not just the good, but all who call upon the Name of Jesus will be saved! All who choose to Follow Him!
As you look in this empty tomb, you do not find a body. For if you are looking for Jesus you cannot look for Him among the dead. To find Jesus, you must look for Him among the living! He has now come to make new life in all of us so that we can share His light and life for all.
Read the words of what happened when the women that followed Jesus first came to the empty tomb. Be encouraged and overjoyed that He is alive! His Words will never fade!
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they[a] came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling clothes. 5 So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground.
“Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” asked the men. 6 “He is not here, but he has risen! Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘It is necessary that the Son of Man be betrayed into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and rise on the third day’?” 8 And they remembered his words.
9 Returning from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the rest.
Luke 24:1-9 CSB
As you get very close to the end of this journey, remember, and never forget how great a price was paid for your life and how much He loves you and wants you to live in newness of life.
14 For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.
16 From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective.[a] Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective,[b] yet now we no longer know him in this way. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has[c] come!
2 Corinthians 5:14-17 CSB
You are no longer to live in the death of your old life. You are to live fully alive in Jesus Christ for all that He has done for you.
Would you choose to follow the One that gave all for you? That made a way for you. Would you like to know what that looks like?
You can ask the person in the next stop all the questions that you would like.
But Jesus is waiting for you!
